About

Navin Kumar Balagopal

I study how living systems fail from aging cells to pediatric brain tumors. My work spans the wet lab, single-cell genomics, and computational biology. I ask questions about biology the way most people can’t stop asking questions about anything.

I also believe science is too important to stay locked inside academic papers. So I write, and create with goal of translating complex ideas for people who are curious but don’t have a PhD. That gap between knowledge and understanding is the most interesting problem I know.

This site is where both worlds live. The lab and the studio. The data and the story. The science and the art. Everything Inbetween.
